Designed for training from the ground up, Enstrom Helicopters are trusted for their proven reliability, safety, and low operating costs—ensuring every hour in the air builds skill and confidence. The 480B is the only single engine light turbine that was designed for the mission of training the US Army pilots.
Immersive Flight Experience
The 480B is an honest machine designed with an all mechanical control system, wide robust landing including oleo struts, unrestricted tail rotor system and many more features that create an extremely safe aircraft enabling the students to focus on flying.
Integrated Cabin
The roomy cabin allows for an integrated observer seat. This integrated observer seat enables the students to be fully engaged throughout the training mission maximizing their time in the aircraft.
Fully Duplicated Controls
Identical flight controls are provided to the student as well as the IP. The instructor has the ability to reclaim controls quickly for safer training.
Full engine controls are also provided on each collective—starts can be accomplished or actively monitored from either pilot seat.
