Employee Spotlight: Heather Witt
My name is Heather Witt, and I’m the Purchasing Manager for Enstrom Helicopter.
When a department needs a guarantee they’ll receive a requested part, I’m the one they call. I oversee the purchasing process, and if there’s ever a problem with a vendor, I do my research and seek to find a solution quickly as to not delay production. I’m also in charge of shipping and receiving for Enstrom.
I have an associate degree in accounting and earned my APICS certification. I first joined Enstrom in 2012 as a Production Control Assistant. I then transitioned to inventory control in 2015 and became the Inventory Supervisor in 2018. I gained plenty of experience managing our stockroom and shipping and receiving departments, which is why I saw purchasing as the perfect next step in my Enstrom career.
I love the people that I work with. Enstrom feels like one big family to me, and it’s one of my favorite parts about working here. The other is that we’re building helicopters! How cool is it to say you play a role in the assembly of these amazing flying machines.
When I’m not at work, I’m busy helping my husband run his own business. Together, we have a son and a daughter – 11-year-old Conway and 6-year-old Vivian. Our four-legged family members include our lovable dog named Blue and our tortoise named Pickles.
My kids keep me on the move throughout the school year as I am their primary form of transport between dance, football, wrestling, and basketball. During the summertime, we love to go camping and water ski.
If you’re curious how your unique skills and abilities might be the perfect fit for a job at Enstrom, I highly encourage you to check out Enstrom’s careers page. We’d love to have you join the Enstrom family!
