Enstrom Helicopter Corporation returns to EAA AirVenture with exciting, new rotorcraft to display

Enstrom at EAA 2022

For more than 30 years, Enstrom Helicopter Corporation has been a consistent presence at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This year, Enstrom expects to dazzle the crowd of roughly 600,000 visitors again with three new helicopters.

EAA AirVenture’s week of festivities begin at sunrise on July 24 and end at sunset on July 30. Guests will experience seven days filled with thrilling displays of aerobatics, informative programs, hands-on workshops, a diverse display of aircraft spanning all eras of flight, and much more.

Enstrom staff see EAA as an opportunity to reintroduce Enstrom to the world, announcing, “we’re back, and we’re building quality, affordable helicopters once more.” They are particularly excited to showcase three new rotorcraft, including the new 480B and 280FX models. EAA visitors can see first-hand the all-glass instrument panels first debuted at HAI HELI-EXPO in Atlanta. Enstrom is also excited to demonstrate the superior quality of lively, new helicopter interiors and impeccable external paint jobs.

Enstrom routinely sticks out at EAA AirVenture as the only certified helicopter OEM to annually show at the event. Despite EAA’s primary focus on fixed-wing aircraft, Enstrom leadership view AirVenture as an invaluable opportunity to network with existing Enstrom customers and meet potential new customers.

Senior Technical Fellow Bayard Dupont said, “There’s significant overlap in the Venn Diagram of Enstrom owners and airplane enthusiasts. Many of our customers also fly airplanes and many of them plan to attend EAA in Oshkosh.”

“Some visitors who are only experienced in fixed-wing aircraft might feel anxious about making the jump to rotorcraft, and there are a lot of misconceptions about the process,” said Vice President of Sales & Marketing Dennis Martin. “We get to tell everyone, ‘Hey! Helicopters are cool, and you can learn to fly one!’”

Enstrom Helicopter Corporation’s owner Chuck Surack also plans to attend EAA AirVenture to shake hands and answer questions.

Anyone interested in attending the event can purchase tickets on EAA’s website. Whether you plan to fly yourself into AirVenture, drive, or fly commercial, you’ll find information on arrival procedures and hotel arrangements in this Insider’s Guide.
