Enstrom Dazzles Record EAA Crowd with New Helicopters, Features

At this year’s EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, Enstrom Helicopter Corporation demonstrated to the world once again why Enstrom deserves its reputation for building amazing, safe, and high-performance helicopters.

The weeklong celebration welcomed about 686,000 visitors, breaking last year’s attendance record of 677,000. Guests got to experience thrilling displays of aerobatics, hands-on workshops, diverse aircraft displays, and informative programs.

AirVenture featured a record 861 commercial exhibitors all crammed into one airport, so to grab attendees’ attention, each exhibitor needed to showcase a truly remarkable aircraft. Fortunately, Enstrom showcased three: a brand new 480B, and two 280FX’s, including the first ever 280FX with air conditioning.

Chief Commercial Officer Dennis Martin was among the group who made the trip to Oshkosh to represent Enstrom. He said about the Enstrom booth, “People were blown away by the technology as well as the fit and finish of the helicopters. We received tons of comments on the paint schemes. One person even came up to me and said, ‘Ok, you win. You have the best paint in the show.’”

Enstrom is the only certified helicopter OEM to annually show at AirVenture and has done so for more than 30 years.

According to EAA, more than 10,000 aircraft flew into Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH) and the surrounding overflow airports, averaging 113 takeoffs and landings per hour.

“I’m a bit obsessed with aviation history and antique aircraft,” said Martin. “It was a thrill for me to see all the vintage airplanes. I believe there were more than 1,200 on site!”

AirVenture 2025 is scheduled for the week of July 21. But prior to that, Enstrom representatives will have opportunities to connect with their international customer base. The 11th Global Defence Helicopter meeting will return to Warsaw, Poland in October, and this year’s European Rotors will take place in Amsterdam, Netherlands in November.
