Enstrom President Todd Tetzlaff invites aerospace professionals to join thriving company workforce

Enstrom Factory Floor

It still feels like a dream to me that I have the privilege of leading such an incredible team of engineers, mechanics, fabricators, and others here at Enstrom. My journey with Enstrom Helicopter Corporation began before I graduated college. I secured my first job as a drafter and later moved into research & development as a flight test engineer and test pilot.

It didn’t take me long to realize just how special a career at Enstrom can be. We’re building something incredibly cool! In every position I held, I felt like I was able to contribute right away. Early on in my career, I helped design our tension-torsion strap installation or “TT straps,” which hold the rotor blades on. I’ve since traveled halfway around the world to deliver helicopters to Enstrom customers, connecting with some amazing people along the way.

That’s why I’m so excited to once again be a part of Enstrom’s story, this time as President, leading our company proudly into the future.

Enstrom’s story began with a mining engineer in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula experimenting with helicopter designs in the 1950s. Fast forward seven decades, and Enstrom Helicopter Corporation is now a well-respected helicopter manufacturer with aircraft in operation around the world. To know that our customers rely on our aircraft across six continents is amazing.

With new, stable ownership in place, Enstrom’s growth in the past year has been exponential. Our factory floor has never felt more alive! Even so, our Menominee facility maintains its small, family atmosphere. Every single member of our staff takes pride in producing the best and safest possible helicopters for our customers.

I’m sure our employees would agree with me here, no one is just a number here at Enstrom. We have folks who have served Enstrom for more than 40 years, one even 55 years, because they know that their efforts are valued.

Our production workflow naturally produces job satisfaction for our employees. For example, Enstrom engineers are involved in every step of production, from initial design, to testing, to certification. Every day presents a unique and interesting challenge. You may find yourself at a computer, on the manufacturing floor, and inside a helicopter all in the same day!

It’s not often you find a cutting-edge aerospace company in the natural beauty of the Midwest. Recognizing this, Enstrom is committed to being the best neighbor it can be, contributing to dozens local causes and events. The community has returned the favor, making Menominee and the U.P. truly feel like home.

Many of our employees enjoy using the nearby forests and Lake Michigan shore for recreation. It’s prime hunting, fishing, hiking, and kayaking country. We’re also less than an hour’s drive from larger metropolitan areas like Green Bay, ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the 2023-2024 Best Place to Live in the U.S.

Enstrom helicopters are made in America, utilizing our employees’ combined dedication, skill, and innovative spirit. Do you have relevant experience and want to be a part of Enstrom’s future? We are searching for qualified and motivated individuals to join our growing team. Allow Enstrom to take your career to new heights. Your journey begins at EnstromHelicopter.com.

Together, let’s write the next chapter of Enstrom’s incredible story.
