Enstrom Helicopter Corporation Fully Engaged in GAMA/IAOPA GA Days

Senior Vice President Todd Tetzlaff recently represented Enstrom in this year’s GAMA/IAOPA GA Days in Egelsbach, Germany – a gathering of major players in the European helicopter market. Among them, European Commission Aviation Director Filip Cornelis, EASA Executive Director Florian Guillermet, the full EASA Executive Committee, and 35 other EASA and national authority managers and experts.
GA Days is designed to provide a hands-on, immersive experienced geared specifically to General Aviation. Unlike other events confined to a convention hall or conference room, GA days allowed Tetzlaff to engage with industry representatives out in the hangar, out on the flight line, and inside the cockpit. Participants had regular opportunities to discuss topics like certification/validation, flight operations, pilot training, maintenance, and innovation.
“I was able to share Enstrom’s strategic messages and real-life examples of innovation with our European regulators,” said Tetzlaff. “With our combined experience and knowledge, my industry counterparts and I can help form a more proportionate regulatory framework across all facets of general aviation, from Enstrom rotorcraft to small airplanes to business jets.”
The event included 18 aircraft flown in by GAMA members, including an Enstrom 480B. These aircraft performed more than 100 demonstration flights in two days.
Tetzlaff said, “I want to specifically thank DSA, our close partner in Czechia, for providing a beautiful 480B to support this event. It was a privilege to represent the light-weight side of the helicopter industry, as was the opportunity to interact with EC, EASA, and other aerospace industry representatives.”
