Position:                      Accountant

Reports To:                 Director of Finance

Status:                         Non–Exempt

 

Job Description

The accountant’s primary responsibility is Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivable. The accountant will support the Senior Accounting Lead.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 Process Vendor Invoices.

  • Process Vendor Credit Memo.
  • Follow up with Vendor on Accounts Payable questions.
  • Assist with Month-end close and reconciliation of Accounts Payable and Cash in Advance Deposit and Accounts Receivable reports to the general ledger.
  • Back up the Senior Accounting Lead as needed.
  • Process Customer Invoice.
  • Process Customer Payments/Credit Memo
  • Follow up with customers regarding overdue payments or A/R questions.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.

  • Good time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects.
  • Ability to manage confidential situations and information.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team structure.

 Qualifications

  • 2-year degree in accounting with five years related experience OR 4-year degree with 1-2 years of experience. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and learning, allowing you to develop your accounting skills and knowledge further.
  • Knowledge of general ledger and accounting functions, including GAAP and internal controls.
  • Comfortable with computerized accounting systems. Rest assured, we provide comprehensive training and support to ensure you are comfortable and confident using our accounting systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • As an Accountant, you must demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills, as you will be responsible for analyzing production costs, identifying errors, and recommending cost changes.
  • Must be highly organized and can work with confidential matters.
